I am extremely pleased to announce that my novelette “Rights and Wrongs” has been accepted for publication in Orson Scott Card’s Intergalactic Medicine Show, a top-flight online magazine that boasts multiple award-winning authors as contributors, among whose number I am thrilled that I will be counted. The story is currently slated to be published in the first half of next year.

“Rights and Wrongs” examines xenophobia and paranoia on a global scale following an invasion by an alien race which could make itself look like anyone, in this case, us. Although the attack was repulsed, billions died. The few surviving invaders have been identified and secured in armed camps–or so we thought. Now, five years later, another alien has been captured, and charged with the murder of a famous scientist. His attorney  thinks he can simply go through the motions of defending his client against the government’s open-and-shut case, but he is unprepared for how the public and the media re-direct their anger and hatred of the aliens toward him. And when he begins to suspect that the government’s case is not as tight as he was meant to believe, he realizes he may be saving his client’s life at the cost of his own…
